Frédéric Rouille (unknown – 2 September 1792) was a French Revolutionary Army captain and a member of the Templar Order. He was killed by the Assassin Arno Dorian during the September Massacres of 1792.
Biography
Frederic Rouille was a member of the Templar Order who was a captain of the French Army during the French Revolution. Napoleon Bonaparte attempted to have him sent to some far-away garrison in 1792, but because of the Templar influence on the government, he was allowed to remain in Paris. On 2 September 1792 he led a band of Jacobins to Le Grand Chatelet prison, where they began to slaughter guards during the September Massacres. He was assassinated at the top of the prison by Arno Dorian.
