Dennu.

Hestorikas (died 38 BCE) was an Egyptian merchant living during the 1st century BCE.

Biography

In 38 BCE Dennu was travelling along the road to Swenett when he was accused by Hagiel, claiming to be a fisherman, of tearing his nets, which caused the soldiers to claim all of merchant's possessions, including his father's ring, on the pretense of recompense for the injury. Following his misadventure Dennu tried to resolve the matter with Hestorikas, local steward commanding the soldiers, but after waiting a whole day in the sun he was ignored and ended up with a little sunstroke. He ended up in Moon Curser Village where a priest advised him to remain in his hut to recover. However Dennu demanded justice and wanted to reclaim his heirloom as soon as possible. He was found by Hidden One Bayek, who listened to his story and agreed to look for the fisherman as the merchant warned that more people can fall to this scheme. Dennu then left the hut to try his luck with the steward once more, noting that justice will be served one way or another.[1]

Unbestknown to Dennu, the steward was the very person responsible for creating the scheme. When he arrived at Papyrus Estate, he was killed by Hestorikas to punish Bayek for meddling in his affairs. Dennu's murderer left a note on his body, taunting Bayek to confront him at Ship Construction Yard. The Hidden One did so, avenging the merchant and recovering his ring. Bayek mused that perhaps he can reunite the heirloom with its owner should he visit the afterlife.[1]

Some time later Bayek met Dennu in the House of the Threshed Grain within the realm of Aaru. Initially confused by seemingly familiar man, the merchant soon remembered his life. Bayek informed him that his death had been avenged and reunited the man with his father's ring. Although Dennu was amused by Bayek's ability to visit afterlife while still alive, he thanked him nonetheless, noting that it means much to him.[1]
