Margaux (born c. 1593) was the adoptive daughter of Catherine and the younger sister to Ermeline. Both sisters were raised in the Landes region of France, but while Ermeline dreamt of settling in a town, Margaux flourished in the simple life they led.

In 1609, Catherine was accused of witchcraft and taken to Bayonne, where she was burned alive as part of the Labourd witch-hunt. The Templar responsible, Pierre de Lancre, captured Ermeline as a hostage while Margaux managed to flee. She was taken in by Nicodemus, an Assassin close to her mother, who then began training her in the ways of an Assassin.[1]

Personality and traits[edit | edit source]

Margaux had a high concentration of Isu DNA, having naturally developed Eagle Vision during infancy. She was able to activate the Shroud of Eden entrusted to her adoptive mother in mere seconds while it took up to twenty minutes for Catherine and her adoptive sister, who also possessed an above-average concentration of Isu genes.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Margaux is a character created for the 2022 young adult novel Assassin's Creed: Fragments – The Witches of the Moors, written by Adrien Tomas.

While the novel states that Margaux's biological mother was the late Assassin Florine, the identity of her father is never explicitly revealed, although it is strongly implied to be Nicodemus.
