Honda Tadakatsu

Honda Tadakatsu (本多 忠勝; 17 March 1548 – 3 December 1610) was a Japanese samurai who served as one of Tokugawa Ieyasu's four generals, the "Four Guardians" (徳川四天王; "Four Heavenly Kings of the Tokugawa"), along with Ii Naomasa, Sakakibara Yasumasa, and Sakai Tadatsugu. A legendary warrior, Tadakatsu was said to be untouched despite having participated in over 100 battles. When the Japanese Assassins approached his master with a plan for retrieving a Sword of Eden, Tadakatsu was initially opposed, preferring the battlefield over secret wars. However, he later worked with the Assassin Hattori Hanzō when they infiltrated Takeda Shingen's camp.
