Bayonne is a city in the southwest of France.

In 1609, Bayonne was the home to the Labourd witch-hunt, where Inquisitor and Templar Pierre de Lancre, appointed by appointed by King Henry IV of France,[1] would judge the accused of witchcraft and burn those who went against him. One of these people was the healer Catherine, who had an artifact the Templar wanted and refused to talk, and for this was burned alived before her adoptive daughters Margaux and Ermeline.[2]
