Aya's home was located in Alexandria, Egypt, and was a temporary dwelling of the Medjay Aya of Alexandria.

In 48 BCE, following her assassination of Actaeon, a member of the Order of the Ancients, Aya was tracked down to her home by another member of the Order, Ktesos. They fought, Aya left Ktesos dead, and fled into hiding to avoid reprisals from the Phylakes.[1]
