The Knight, as he appears in Multiplayer

The Knight (real name: Verulo Gallo/Scevola Spina) was an Animi Avatar used by Abstergo Industries to train the recruits in their Animi Training Program. This avatar was available along with the downloadable content The Da Vinci Disappearance for Brotherhood and unlockable through Uplay for Revelations, costing 40 Uplay points.

Unique Moves

The Knight Avatar had several unique moves:

(Low Profile, Back)

The Knight removes his sword from his belts and chops downward into the shoulder of his target roughly, slashing them as he quickly pulls his sword out. Providing his victim with a large fatal wound, he lets them fall to the floor, dead.

(Low Profile, Front)

The Knight unsheathes his greatsword, before knocking his target's legs from underneath them with the side of his sword. As they make contact with the ground, he hacks his greatsword into his victim's back, severing their spine, before pulling his weapon out and storing it away.

(High Profile, Back)

The Knight chops with his sword into the side of his target's waist, getting his greatsword lodged in their flesh. Forcefully, he slashes through their body with a mighty swing, dislodging his sword and spinning his victim in the progress. Afterwards, while his victim's dead body is left on the ground, the Knight stores his greatsword back at his belt.

(High Profile, Front)

The Knight clotheslines his target in the neck with his arm, making them topple onto their back. He then stabs his sword into his victim's heart and lets it go, before grabbing it with his other hand and pulling it out, taking the time to sheath his blade while his target bleeds profusely, their heart pierced.

(Bench Kill)

The Knight stabs his target in the chest, before lifting them off the bench and to the side. His target feebly grasps at the blade, but eventually goes limp. The Knight then pulls back the sword quickly, withdrawing the blade and making his victim fall off of the tip.

(Aerial Kill)

The Knight jumps from above a rooftop onto his unfortunate target, crashing into them with gravity aiding his heavy armor, before removing his greatsword from his waist and forcibly slashing downwards into the middle of his victim's head. Ripping his weapon out his target, the Knight replaces it at his waist.

Customization

The Knight could also be customized in several ways:

Colors:

  • Basic: Red
  • Extra 1: White
  • Extra 2: Yellow
  • Extra 3: Blue

Gear:

  • Advanced: Waistcloth change
  • Superior: Darker, polished armor with gold tracing.
  • Elite: A Brute helmet with 'mohawk' horsehair plume (affected by color) and gold tracing, plates protecting the neck.

In later versions of the Animi Training Program, this Avatar is not customizable, alongside with the Ottoman Doctor, the Ottoman Jester and the Courtesan.

Trivia

  • Upon closer inspection, the visor of the Knight's basic helmet paired with the engraving on his helm form the Templar cross.
  • The Knight bears a close resemblance to a Brute, albeit with flashier colors, lighter armor and a different helmet. However, the Brutes from Assassin's Creed II have similar helmet designs.
  • The Knight also resembles the Captain Guards featured in Assassin's Creed II: Discovery.
  • According to the community developer Gabe Graziani in the third Videodex, his sword is a Titanic Greatsword. [citation needed]
