Assassin's Creed IV is the theoretical title of the next main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. While Assassin's Creed IV has not been officially announced, Ubisoft has made several statements about future installments. Amongst these are that the next game does not have to be set after the Assassin's Creed III' American Revolutionary War setting,[1] and that settings such as World War II, Feudal Japan and Egypt are not likely to be featured as they are considered "boring" and unoriginal for Assassin's Creed.[2] However, writer Corey May and Assassin's Creed 3 creative director Alex Hutchinson have both expressed interest in pursuing an Assassin's Creed title set in India. [3] An interview with Assassin's Creed III's scriptwriter Matt Turner gave a probable release date of 2013 or 2014 for Assassin's Creed IV.[4]
