:::Well this has him in WWI but I'm not sure this is supposed to be Albert Bolden, looks white to me. I guess that is something to discuss. But I think I will go with the change. Memories where applicable, broader media when not, works over authors, attributions when all else fails. But either way the current link is wrong as Jhonnies pointed out. ::::Oops, I double-pressed the ⟨I⟩. Yeah, I remembered that scene, just hadn't said the specifics. Even aside skin tone, it's definitely not Bolden because so far as we know, he began in '27, when WWI was long over and the Great Depression was about to start. It could be simply that the artists did a design separate from the quote, while the card devs just picked a line that sounded cool outside its context. – [[User:Darman36|Darman]] ([[User talk:Darman36|talk]]) 15:00, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

:::::I don’t think anything in the comic implies that was Bolden’s first mission in 1927, on the contrary it felt like he was well versed. I think the memories in the WWI time frame of the ACRPG are set in 1917 and 1923 so not unreasonable and we have yet to decide if all six were present for each scenario. And it would be very unlikely that the line was picked without context of it being said by a Black Cross, whether a descendant or not. This is the discussion page for Cards (Roleplaying Game).
Here, you may discuss improving the article.

Formatting

So three issues:
First being, any thoughts on just the basic formatting trying to adapt how it appears in the app to this article? Of specific notes are togglable fields like snags and synch percentage and fillable fields like notepad (very nebulous) or skills and POE (more structured).
Second, the modern day character "cards" are called Character Files. Should that be it's own article given that Witness (these are also sometimes called files but are specifically shown as cards in the QuickStart Guide), Skill, and Piece of Eden cards are placed on top of said character files?
Third, some of the gear names are assumedly tweaked for "legally distinct" reasons. Should we adhere to this or use the corresponding IRL products ie Kawasaki instead of Sakikawa?Lacrossedeamon (talk) 10:51, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

On the gear stuff, we should adhere to the names used by the game, but we can always link to the actual IRL products. On the separation of the pages, I'd wait until the game actually releases for that discussion. I'll see what I can do with the formatting. - Soranin (talk) 14:29, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Quotes

This is an ongoing discussion.

So a lot of the character quotes are drawn from other sources, some of them real world. I have been just putting who said it if it's not original to that character or is a specific reference to something, but I am wondering if we should be more granular? If the quote is from a specific work link to that rather than the author or if the quote is from previous AC media link to that down to memory level if possible. In this format the Jackie Magpie quote would link to the memory rather than to Anne Bonny directly. Thoughts? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 10:48, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

Seems OK to me. Myself, I noticed even without your linking that the Black Cross quote is actually from in the Templars comic series, which, unless I'm misremembering, I don't believe has the Cross during WWII like how the RPG suggests. – Darman (talk) 14:05, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
André Bolden, dressed in Berg's Black Cross outfit, says it during Uprising's second issue. – Soranin (talk) 14:38, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
Well this has him in WWI but I'm not sure this is supposed to be Albert Bolden, looks white to me. I guess that is something to discuss. But I think I will go with the change. Memories where applicable, broader media when not, works over authors, attributions when all else fails. But either way the current link is wrong as Jhonnies pointed out. I don’t think anything in the comic implies that was Bolden’s first mission in 1927, on the contrary it felt like he was well versed.
