Zervos was a Greek harbormaster who resided in Sais, Egypt during the reign of Ptolemy XIII.
Biography
During the mid 1st century BCE, Sefetu, a Ptolemaic officer from Fort Nikiou, served as the governor of the town. During his tenure, Egyptian merchants were heavily taxed for their goods and faced punishment if they refused or failed to pay in time. As such, Zervos took to help his fellow residents store their goods in secret.[1]
