"My name is Yuki. I'll be your tour guide again for this trip. And if you haven't already guessed... I'm an Abstergo special agent and Ms. Sei's personal bodyguard."
―Yuki formally introducing herself to Noa Kim, c. 2023.[src]-[m]

Yuki is an Abstergo agent and the personal bodyguard of the Templar Shimazu Sei.

Biography

Serving under Sei in Macau, Yuki posed as a tour guide when the Korean student Noa Kim, a descendant of Edward Kenway, was lured to the city under the guise vacation prize trip. After touring around the city, Yuki brought Noa to a park and told him to go for a walk while they waited for a car to come pick them up. With Noa alone, Yuki contacted Mitsuko Nakamura, who dispatched two Abstergo agents to kidnap Noa and bring him back to the Exitus research vessel. There, Noa was forced to relive Edward's memories in the Animus under Sei's supervision.[1]

Sometime later, Yuki joined Sei and Noa aboard the Exitus on an expedition to Cebu in the Philippines, where they sought to retrace Edwards's footsteps. As Noa stood in front of a statue of Lapu-Lapu, Yuki appeared alongside Sei behind him, leading Noa to recognize her as the "tour guide" from Macau. Yuki sarcastically greeted him, revealing her affiliations with Abstergo and stating that she would be Noa's tour guide once again in Cebu.[2]

While travelling around Cebu looking for leads, the Abstergo convoy containing Yuki, Sei and Noa came under attack by members of the Doom Eagle criminal organization, who sought to retrieve Noa.[2]

Personality and traits

While at first glance Yuki was an extremely cheerful and friendly woman, this was just a ruse.[1] In reality, she was a hardened, serious and ruthless special forces agent who would stop at nothing from completing her mission. She was very observant of her surroundings, as seen when she anticipated Doom Eagle's ambush after noticing a suspiciouly large number of traffic accidents in Cebu. She also possessed somewhat of a sarcastic and dark sense of humor, which she displayed in her interactions with Noa Kim.[2]

Yuki was very loyal and devoted to her boss, Shimazu Sei, being willing to give her own life for hers. After being injured during Doom Eagle's ambush, she trusted Noa to protect Sei in her stead and threatened to "hunt [him] down to the end of the Earth" if anything happened to her boss.[3]

Equipment and skills

True to her role as a bodyguard, Yuki was well trained in both marksmanship and hand-to-hand combat and always carried a weapon with her. During her time in Cebu, she carried a suitcase which contained a concealed assault rifle. She also wielded a non-lethal melee weapon in the form of an electric shock baton that extended from a bracer, similarly to a Hidden Blade, though she later gave it to Noa Kim.[3]

Yuki was implied to be extremely physically strong, as just her pinching Noa's cheek was enough to cause him considerable pain.[1]
