Yugr Tn was a war elephant who was utilized by Pothinus, a eunuch and a member of the Order of the Ancients, in his fight against the Medjay Bayek of Siwa during the Battle of the Nile in 47 BCE.[1] Despite its large size and strength, Bayek was able to kill the elephant and defeat Pothinus.[1]

Behind the scenes

Yugr Tn is an alternative Latinization of the Libyco-Berber ⵢⵤⵔⵝⵏ meaning "he exceeded them" and usually rendered as Jurgurthen, which was the name of a Numidian king from the 2nd century BCE who fought and lost a war against Rome.
