Trazbon, historically known as Trebizond, is a city in northeastern Turkey.
History
In 1509, Prince Selim was stationed at Trebizond after the recent earthquake. There, he discussed with his janissary Iskender about his plan to succeed his father Bayezid as Sultan over his brother Prince Ahmet. Realizing that Ahmet and the Ottoman Assassins may be against him, Selim left to secure more men while advising Iskender to wait for Ahmet's forces to arrive. Within two days, Iskender saw Ahmet's men just outside the city and thus he and his men fought and killed them.[1]
