Tlaxcala was a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican confederation made up of four Nahua altepeme located in what is now modern-day central Mexico.
History[edit | edit source]
In the early 1500s, the Tlaxcala was defeated by Spanish conquistadores led by Hernán Cortés. He used the Faith Prong of the Trident of Eden granted to him by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor to bend the Tlaxcaltecs to his cause and overthrow the Aztec Empire.[1]
