The Sunken Trireme was a shipwreck near the lighthouse of Euhemeria, Faiyum, around 48 BCE.
In 48 BCE, while visiting Euhemeria, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa witnessed an elder priest of Sobek abusing a novice. The priest claimed the novice had stolen golden statues of the crocodile-god which he'd been tasked to take to Krokodilopolis, and the novice swore that his ship had sunk. The Medjay decided to investigate, and came upon a recently sunk trireme, finding one of the statues in it.[1]
