Master Sun was a Chinese businessman who served as the head of the Hualien Trading Company under the Qing Empire. Based in Portuguese Macau, he was a rival of the trading company led by Madam Lee alongside Jan van Aert of the Dutch East India Company and Alan Jacob of the Far East Company.

Influenced by the Templars, Master Sun and the two hired the Shimazu clan[1] to eliminate Madam Lee at the Mandarin's House.[2]
