Sais

Sais (Ancient Greek: Σάϊς) was an ancient Egyptian town located west of Lake Mareotis in the Sapi-Res Nome. During the 1st century BCE, the town was governed by Sefetu, who allied himself with Taharqa, a member of the Order of the Ancients known as the Scarab.[1]

In 48 BCE, Apollodorus sent the Medjay Bayek to the village to look for one of his informants Harkhuf, who had information regarding the Scarab.[1]

It was said that the town was under the protection of Neith, the goddess of hunting and war.[2]
