Rothenburg was an undercover informant in Abstergo Industries who informed the Assassins about the Templars' activities.
Rothenburg's identity remains unknown and Gavin Banks continues to trust the informant, as they have never asked for anything in return and if they had, he would've terminated the operation.[1]
History
Mute for a long time, Rothenburg resumed contact with Griffin in 2016 to inform him of the kidnapping of several teenagers.[2]
Identity
Owen Meyers suspected that Rothenburg was in fact Cole, an Abstergo field agent who freed Sebastian Monroe from captivity at the Aerie and helped Monroe, Owen, and Grace Collins sneak aboard transportation to Mongolia. However, when Owen suggested this to Cole, she told him that she didn't know what he was talking about. Monroe then explained that Cole had helped them in order to repay a past debt she owed him.[2]
