Perseus' Sword of Eden was a Sword of Eden used by Perseus to slay the gorgon Medusa[1][2] after she had been transformed into the Writhing Dread by an artifact which was later retrospectively known as the Prize of the Medusa.[3]

History

Over the years, multiple weapons were purported to be the one used by Perseus. A sickle called Hermes' Scythe was on display in the Temple of Dionysos Kolonatas in Sparta during the 5th century BCE alongside other relics alleged to have been a part of his story.[3]

Other examples included the one used by the Writhing Dread,[3] and the one sold on markets in the Ptolemaic Kingdom.[4]
