Murjana was an Abbasid woman who lived in Baghdad during the 9th century. She was the daughter of the famous merchant Ali Baba and was a friend of Beshi, a member of the Zanj rebels.[1]
When her father came in trouble with the Forty Thieves, Beshi recommended her to seek out the Hidden Ones who were trustworthy and able to help her situation. Murjana wrote a letter to the Harbiyah bureau where it was found by Basim Ibn Ishaq. In the letter, Murjana asked the Hidden One to meet her outside the south of the city gate.[1]
Behind the scenes
