Leander (died 47 BCE) was a Greek magistrate of Cyrene who allied himself with Flavius Metellus and Melitta during the 1st century BCE. He lived in a luxurious villa in Marmarica, and bribed and thieved however he wished, using public funds to pay for his own desires.[1]

Diocles and Simonides attempted to procure evidence of Leander's corruption, but after failing to do so, they requested the assistance of the Medjay Bayek of Siwa. Infiltrating Leander's villa, Bayek found a ledger containing proof of the magistrate's illicit activities, and also learned of Leander's intent to kill all the other magistrates while they gathered at the Apollonion of Cyrene, in order to solidify his own power. Bayek arrived in time to foil Leander's plot, whereupon he eliminated the corrupt magistrate and his men.[1]
