- "Verulo Gallo's army thrives upon staggering odds, each successful skirmish further boosting their exorbitant fee."
- ―Ubisoft description.
The Knight (real name: Verulo Gallo/Scevola Spina) was an Animi Avatar used by Abstergo Industries to train their recruits in the first and second stage of the Animi Training Program. He was available after a system update in the first stage, and was granted to certain recruits in the second stage. He used a greatsword as his weapon.
Unique moves
The Knight had several unique moves:
(Low Profile, Front)
The Knight approaches his target and unsheathes his greatsword, before he knocks their legs from underneath them with the side of his weapon. As they make contact with the ground, he hacks his sword into his victim's back, severing their spine and leaving them to bleed, following which he pulls his weapon out and stores it away.
(Low Profile, Back)
The Knight walks over to his target and removes his sword from his belt, before he chops downward into their shoulder roughly and slashes them while he quickly pulls his sword out. Providing his victim with a large fatal wound, the Knight lets them fall to the floor, dead.
(High Profile, Front)
The Knight rushes over to his target and clotheslines them in the neck with his arm, making them topple onto their back. He then firmly stabs his sword into their chest and lets it go, before grabbing it with his other hand and pulling it out, taking the time to sheath his blade while his victim bleeds profusely, their heart pierced.
(High Profile, Back)
The Knight runs over to his target and chops them in the waist with his weapon, getting his greatsword lodged in their flesh. Forcefully, he slashes through their body with a mighty swing, dislodging his sword and spinning them in the process. Afterwards, while his victim lays dead on the ground, the Knight stores his greatsword back at his belt.
(First Bench Kill)
The Knight stabs his seated target in the chest, before lifting them from the bench and to the side. While they feebly grasp at the blade, they eventually go limp, and the Knight then pulls back the sword quickly, withdrawing the weapon and making his victim fall from its tip.
(Second Bench Kill)
The Knight grabs his seated target's foot and drags them off the bench, until their head rests against it. Before they can do anything to defend themselves, the Knight forcefully kicks them in the face, violently sending their head backwards and breaking his victim's neck on the bench behind them.
(First Aerial Kill)
The Knight jumps from above a rooftop onto his unfortunate target, crashing into them with gravity aiding his heavy armor, before removing his greatsword from his waist and forcibly chopping downwards into the middle of their head. Following this, as the Knight rips his weapon out his victim, he replaces his greatsword at his waist.
(Second Aerial Kill)
The Knight leaps down from a rooftop and unsheathes his sword in mid-air. As he lands on his hapless target, knocking them to the ground, he roughly impales their heart with the tip of his greatsword before leaving his victim to die from blood loss.
Taunts
- "I don't even need my armor!"
- "Come to me, little bird!"
- "Another capering idiot!"
Customization
First stage
The Knight could also be customized in several ways:
Colors:
- Basic: Red.
- Extra 1: White.
- Extra 2: Yellow.
- Extra 3: Blue.
Gear:
- Advanced: The cloth around his waist extends to a longer length.
- Superior: The Knight gains darker, polished armor with golden tracing.
- Elite: His helmet is modified to look more like a Brute's, with a "mohawk" horsehair plume (affected by color) and golden tracing, along with plates protecting his neck.
Second stage
In the second stage, the Knight was not customizable, alongside the Ottoman Doctor, the Ottoman Jester and the Courtesan.
Trivia
- Upon closer inspection, the visor of the Knight's basic helmet, paired with the engraving on his helm, formed the Templar cross.
- The Knight bore a close resemblance to a Brute, albeit with flashier colors, lighter armor and a different helmet.
- However, the Brutes from Assassin's Creed II had similar helmet designs.
- The Knight also resembled the Captain Guards featured in Assassin's Creed II: Discovery.
