Iseion was an ancient Egyptian temple dedicated to Isis, located on the island of Pharos, north of Alexandria. During her reign, the temple was under the protection of the pharaoh Cleopatra, who declared it safe for Alexandrians visiting to pray.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa helped Lysander, a former priest at the Serapeum of Alexandria, to escape to the temple, after he became wanted by the Phylakitai for giving food stolen from them to the citizenry.[1] Afterwards, Bayek also found a Papyrus Puzzle in the Iseion.[2]
