Isaac du Queyran, also known as Nicodemus, was a member of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins and a friend of Catherine. In 1609, after her burning as a witch, Nicodemus took in her daughter Margaux and trained her in the Creed.

While on a mission to secure a Shroud of Eden with Florine circa 1593, the pair was discovered by the Templars and forced into hiding. Upon finding out she was pregnant, Isaac took Florine to Catherine, who was a healer. Florine almost perished in childbirth, but she was saved by Isaac using the Shroud of Eden on her. The pair gave Catherine both the child and the Shroud for safekeeping and left.[1] With Florine staying behind to protect her daughter[2] Isaac regretted and mourned her death for years until 1609.[3][4]
