Hervé Quemar was a Master Assassin, part of the French Brotherhood's Assassin Council and a lawyer. During the French Revolution, he kept a very low profile and defended people accused of treason by the National Assembly.
Quemar suffered from a heart condition and used small amounts of aconite as medicine. He also suffered from gout, which at times became so severe that he could not even climb a flight of stairs without assistance.
