Hassan (died 1489) was a corrupt merchant operating in Murcia, Spain who allied himself with Spanish Rite of the Templar Order during the Spanish Inquisition.
Biography
During the 15th century, Hassan worked as a corrupt merchant, selling properties seized from the victims of the Inquisition. He later came to work with the Inquisitors, one of whom was Ojeda, a member of the Templar Order. Hassan met with Ojeda in a Dominican chapter house in the city to discuss the dealings.[1]
In 1489, the Spanish Assassins, having discovered his correspondence with Ojeda,[2] tracked him down in the city and assassinated him, thus striking a blow to the Inquisition's financial state.[1]
