Ali ibn Muhammad (died 11 August 883) also known as Sahib al-Zanj, was a rebel leader of the Zanj Rebellion.

In the 850s he made the acquaintance of the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq.[1]

Ali ibn Muhammad is a historical figure and character appearing in Assassin's Creed: Mirage, he was confirmed to be appearing by Narrative Director Sarah Beaulieu.[1]
