Fang Xiaoru (方孝孺; 1357 – 1402) was an orthodox Confucian scholar of the Ming dynasty and secretly the Chinese Assassins' leader. In 1402, the Yongle Emperor heeded the advice of his Templar allies and ordered for Fang Xiaoru and thousands of other suspected Assassins to be captured and executed.[1]
