al-Ula (Arabic: ٱلْعُلَا) is an Arabian archaeological city and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in what is now Medina Province, Saudi Arabia.[1] During the 9th century, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq visited the city while it was under the Abbasid Caliphate's administrative control.[2]
