Agatha was an Egyptian woman who lived in Apollonia in Cyrenaica during the 1st century BCE. She married a protector, with whom they had a son named Titus, who served in the Roman army under the navarch Marcellus Asina.
In 47 BCE, Titus was imprisoned in the city barracks by the Romans for attempting to desert the army when he refused to participate in Asina's plan to invade Egypt. Seeking help, Agatha met the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who helped her to free Titus, and put an end to Asina in the Mediterranean Sea.[1]
