Biography

Working at the Aerie

In 2016, after the Templars failed to capture all the teenagers who had used a stolen Animus to search for the Trident of Eden under Sebastian Monroe's guidance,[1] the director of the Aerie, Isaiah, tasked Cole and her team to capture the remaining two fugitives. However, Owen Meyers and Javier Mondragón were rescued by the Assassins, who began to train the two teenagers over the following weeks, complicating Cole's mission. Once the Templars located their targets, Cole and her team were sent to raid the Assassin safehouse, but Owen, Javier, and their Assassin protector, Griffin, fought back and escaped. Following her failure, Isaiah told Cole that her mission was now to terminate the two boys, to prevent the secrets of their DNA from falling into the hands of the Assassins.[2]

Several days later, after Griffin and his pupils were separated while infiltrating the Aerie in order to free the four teenagers that the Templars had captured, Owen and Javier took Cole hostage. Holding her at gunpoint, the pair forced Cole to open a biometric door, allowing them to enter the facility before shooting her with a sleep dart. Eventually, Javier and Griffin fled with Natalya Aliyev and David Collins, but Owen and Monroe, who had also infiltrated the Aerie to save the teenagers, were captured. The two other teenagers, Sean Molloy and Grace Collins, decided to stay with the Templars.[3]

Later, Isaiah and most of his men left for Mongolia to find the second prong of the Trident of Eden, and Cole was left in charge of the Aerie. When Owen tried to escape the facility with Grace, who had changed her mind, Cole unexpectedly helped them. The Templar led them to Monroe's cell and brought the three to a container of equipment about to be shipped to Mongolia. When Owen asked her if she was the mysterious Rothenburg, an Assassin mole in the Templars' midst, Cole told him that she did not know what he was talking about. Later, Monroe explained to them that Cole had helped them to repay a debt she owed him.[4]

Working under Isaiah

When Isaiah returned to the Aerie, Cole followed his order to remove the processor core from Sean's Animus.[5] Along with other Abstergo employees, Cole later fell under the control of Isaiah, who possessed both the Fear and Faith Prongs of the Trident of Eden. Following Isaiah, who abandoned the Templar Order, she was forced to aid in his plans for world domination and assisted him in using Sean as his Animus subject.[6]

Cole joined Isaiah and Sean as they traveled to Sweden to acquire the Devotion Prong before Victoria Bibeau, Griffin, and the others did. She took the initiative to venture to Västerås, where she discovered the prong being held at an irrigation building called Dolkkälla. Informing Isaiah, she followed him while a restrained Sean was left in the Animus.[7] At the spring, they spotted and shot at Griffin, who was hit but took the prong. Shortly after, they found and captured Owen, Natalya, and Grace, who were left alone after Griffin died from his injuries. Cole searched Grace, recovered the dagger, and gave it to Isaiah, before lining the kids up to be executed.[8]

Fortunately, the three teenagers were saved by Sean and the van Poindexter, who drove them to meet with Victoria's operatives.[9] Cole later joined Isaiah on their attack on the Aerie, during which Isaiah was ultimately defeated and killed, freeing Cole and her fellow Templars from his control.[10]

Personality and traits

Cole was a young woman with straight blond hair, full lips, and a sharp chin.[2]

Behind the scenes

Throughout the events of Assassin's Creed: Last Descendants – Tomb of the Khan, Cole is speculated to be the Assassin mole codenamed "Rothenburg", with Owen Meyers pointing out several pieces of evidence that support this theory.
