The Brothers of the Cross were a secret Templar organization traveling across Germany promising protection from the plague in the mid-14th century. The Assassin Lukas Zurburg suspected that they were after the Ankh, a Piece of Eden that purportedly could heal the sick and raise the dead, and was said to be lost somewhere in Central Europe.[1]
In 1350, the Brothers of the Cross vanished mysteriously, and Lukas and the Ankh were never seen again.[1]
