The Ra's Al-Af'a (رأس أفعى; "Head of the Snake")[1] was the title held by the Order of the Ancients' leader operating in Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate. Their duty was to oversee the Order's control over the city and to find any ancient artifacts left behind by the Isu.[2] By the 860s, the last known Ra's Al-Af'a was the late caliph al-Mutawakkil's favorite concubine Qabiha. However, her Order branch quickly fell to the Hidden Ones based in Alamut while Qabiha herself was killed by the Master Assassin Roshan after her identity was discovered.[3]
