Forum problem
Vesper, a user named JackDick recently created a forum, as you may have noticed, Here. I tried to put the content, which was above the line, to the bottom, but for some reason the forum header doesn't move downwards. Any ideas? Altaïr Skywalker 47Agency Laptop 01:21, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
The forum header shouldn't move downwards. The page should be alright now. Slate Vesper (talk) 01:26, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Mariner Image
I'm really sorry. I used the "Public Domain" template because one of the first concept arts I posted (done by the same person), it got edited. I wasn't sure what template I should give it, but I went with either the 'Screenshot' or 'Cc-by-sa-3.0' one. Someone later changed it into the Public Domain one, and I found it fit better so I used it from then on for all the concept arts I've uploaded of that person.
Oh shit, I really should've put something in the attention part. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight. Is it even okay if these are uploaded? The concept artist, Borislav Mitkov, posted the concept arts in multiple places, among which was cghub, a place where previous concept artists of the multiplayer portion have posted their work, such as Antoine Rol and Anais Bernabé. Maybe I shouldn't have made their backgrounds transparent, but I thought it was okay to put up his work here. Isn't his work property of Ubisoft? Crookandcharlatan (talk) 10:02, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Stop panicking. All you would need to do is ask the artist's permission and make sure to use Screenshots or Cc-by-sa-3.0 next time.
And yes, it would be Ubisoft property, since they are designs for one of their games, which they employed the artist for. Their IP, so any production material like artistic designs belongs to them. Slate Vesper (talk) 18:01, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for freaking out. If it is Ubisoft's property, then there isn't a problem with it being on the Wiki, right? Or am I mixing up things? I'm just a bit confused by the 'asking for the artist's permission', I can't fathom the people of the Wiki doing that for every artist that's worked for Ubisoft. Maybe I'm seeing it a bit too simplistic, but I thought anything that belonged to Ubisoft, aka the artists' work, would be okay to post here, as long as it's properly sourced. Am I wrong in thinking that? Is there a more complex procedure that I've somehow missed?
- Also, just for future reference, what is the Public Domain template used for? ^^; Crookandcharlatan (talk) 18:31, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Revamp Animi Avatars Pages
Hey there, Slate
So, there's been a "Revamp template" hovering atop the Animi Avatars (Brotherhood) page for quite some time, and I'd like to try my hand at fixing it up. I'd like to try it by myself, since I tend to shy away from revamps and I'd like to get better at it, but if you want to participate, I don't really have the right to say you can't. I'd like to ask you something though, since you're the most multiplayer-oriented admin (also, GI recommended you): when do I utilize "primary/secondary" stage and when do I utilize "first/second" stage? (cause the article titles themselves are quite OOU)
Thanks in advance ^^ Crookandcharlatan (talk) 16:09, August 23, 2013 (UTC)
Primary/secondary/tertiary/quaternary are for the categories, because Abstergo are linked throughout all the renditions of the multiplayer, so they must have some plans behind it all.
For the in-article context, first stage is Brotherhood, second stage for Revelations, and console stage is for AC3 currently, with Black Flag probably being the second console stage. Slate Vesper (talk) 17:37, August 23, 2013 (UTC)
Some MediaWiki:Common.js coding please
Hello StormbeastSlate,
Could you do me a favour and add this coding to MediaWiki:Common.js
$(function () {
if (wgUserName) {
$('.username-replace').text(wgUserName);
}
});
This will make my template {{Username}} work, showing the username of the person who visits the page.
- Ow, I saw your mark of deletion. I made a new template, because this one will work with this coding, while the other one doesn't. But we could merge them of course, I just didn't want to disturb that coding.

I wouldn't mind merging them, but I don't have access. Vatsa does though.
