Assassin's Creed: Last Descendants, is a series of young adult novel written by Matthew J. Kirby. The first installment was released in August 2016, with the second book, Tomb of the Khan expected in December 2016.
The series focuses on a group of teenagers who, exploring the memories of their ancestors in an Animus, discover the existence of an ancient artifact called the Trident of Eden. Having caught the attention of both the Assassins and Templars, they become entangled into the organizations' millenary feud.
Between the release of the first two novels, Titan Comics published a spinoff – Locus – a comic book miniseries with ties to Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
