A War in the Shadows is a Helix Rift Event in Assassin's Creed: Rebellion that lasted from March 13–17, 2019. The content comprised of missions set in 15th century Florence in which the Italian Assassin Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze investigated the disappearances of citizens who had resisted the Italian Rite of the Templar Order. Successful mission synchronization gave players Data Nodes which unlocked various reward tiers based on the total Nodes collected, with the top tier granting players the characters Corvo Antonelli and Perina di Bastian to play in future missions, a weapon, set of armor, and accessories scaled to one's Brotherhood level.
