A Night to Remember was a virtual representation of one of Jacob Frye and Evie's genetic memories, relived by a Helix initiate through the Helix Navigator.

Description

Jacob and Evie infiltrated Buckingham Palace to assassinate Starrick and recover the Shroud.

Dialogue

After Evie had changed to a dress, she saw Jacob and Sergeant Abberline arrive in the Gladstones' carriage.

  • Evie: Of course he'd arrive in that.

Jacob and Abberline stepped out, dressed in a suit and a royal guard's uniform, respectively.

  • Abberline: Miss Frye.
  • Jacob: Hand him your weapons. We must enter unarmed.

Evie pointed to a purse holding her weapons. As Abberline took it, Jacob and Evie entered the carriage and drove to the gates of Buckingham Palace, where a guard checked their invitations and the Gladstones' were denied entry.

  • Guard 1: Go on in, sir and madam.
  • William: What in the blazes is our carriage doing here?

The carriage drove to the palace itself, where the twins stepped out.

  • Jacob: Did I hear something?
  • Evie: No. Just the voices in your own head.
  • Jacob: And yet, they are so much more pleasant than yours.
  • Evie: Charming.
  • Jacob: Aren't I?

They walked through the palace ballroom.

  • Evie: I shall go and find the Piece of Eden.
  • Jacob: As you wish.
    I'm off to meet Freddy.
  • Evie: The plans are located in the White Drawing Room. Which is most likely locked. The Captain of the Guard will have a key.

Evie stole a key from the Captain of the Guard and grabbed one of the guards from behind.

  • Evie: You are going to escort me. Keep your mouth closed and this will be over before you know it.
  • Guard 3: Who are you?
    That hurts!
    My arm!
    Gentle.

Evie and the guard walked upstairs to the White Drawing Room, the latter allowing them to bypass the other guards.

  • Guard 3: The lady is with me.
  • Evie: Much obliged.
  • Guard 4: Madam.

As they reached the White Drawing Room, Evie knocked the guard unconscious.

  • Evie: Pleasant dreams.

Evie opened a chest in the White Drawing Room, in which she found the plans for the vault.

  • Evie: Now for the vault.
Jacob's most likely off stealing another carriage somewhere. Or accidentally pushing the Queen down a flight of stairs.

Returning to the ballroom, Evie was met by Mary Anne Disraeli.

  • Mary Anne: There you are! I have someone I'm simply dying for you to meet.
  • Evie: Uh-
  • Mary Anne: Shhh. Shh. Shh. Come with me.

Mary Anne took Evie to the palace gardens, where they met Queen Victoria.

  • Mary Anne: Your Majesty. May I present Miss Evie Frye.
  • Victoria: You are the one responsible for Mr. Gladstone's... mishap?
  • Evie: Your Majesty, I apologize-
  • Victoria: The cake is particularly good. Enjoy the ball.

Victoria left.

  • Evie: I really must be going.

As Evie left Mary Anne, Starrick took the former's hand.

  • Starrick: Miss Frye... may I have this dance?
  • Evie: Mr. Starrick, you've had your fun, but the game is over.

Evie tried to leave, only to be held back by Starrick, who pointed to his guards on the palace rooftops. They then danced.

  • Starrick: Ah-ah. Listen. One, two, three. One, two three. Time is a wonderful thing, Miss Frye. It heals all wounds. We may make mistakes while dancing, but, the mazurka ends and then we begin again. Problem is, everyone forgets. They trip on the same mistakes over and over.
  • Evie: People can learn.
  • Starrick: Can they? Isn't everyone around you repeating the same steps? But if one man could remember the dance? Could know the time? Then he could change things for the better.
  • Evie: I have had enough-

As Evie attempted to leave, Starrick stopped her and took the necklace holding the vault key.

  • Starrick: This dance is nearly over. Soon, the people will forget the generation on this terrace. The ruin you nearly wrought on London. When the music ceases, Miss Frye, your time is up - and mine begins.

In the meantime, Jacob made his way to the rooftops and met with Abberline.

  • Jacob: Freddy.
  • Abberline: Starrick peppered the regulars with his own men and took several guards hostage. Your weapons are in there.

Inside a closet, Jacob changed into his Assassin outfit and equipped his weapons.

  • Abberline: Look.

Jacob and Abberline observed Starrick's men.

  • Jacob: Right. I'll kill the imposters and rescue the captives.
  • Abberline: How? It's impossible to tell the difference.
  • Jacob: Oh ye of little faith.

Jacob identified Starrick's on the rooftops with his Eagle Vision and killed them.

  • Jacob: Now to find the real royal guards.

Descending to ground level, he identified more of Starrick's imposters, killed them and freed the royal guards.

  • Templars: Keep your eyes open!
    The day shall be ours!
  • Guards: Help! We've been tricked! Someone! Anyone!
  • Jacob: I'll get you out.
    Hold still for a moment.
  • Guards: Thank you, sir! Thanks, mate!
You have my thanks! Thanks, mate!
  • Jacob: Right. That'll be all.
    That'll do.

Jacob returned to the rooftops and signalled Evie that Starrick's men had been killed. The dance then neared its end

  • Evie: The key to the waltz is one must lead with one's right foot.

Evie kicked Starrick in the groin, attracted the attention of other guests.
