Yasiriyah was a subdistrict of Abbasiyah in Baghdad, located southwest of the Suburb of Kahtabah and north of Haylanah. During the Islamic Golden Age, the district housed the famous House of Wisdom, a massive library and intellectual center that housed many scholars from across the Caliphate.[1]
