Wine of the Bean was a virtual representation of one of Basim ibn Ishaq's genetic memories relived through the Animus.[1]
Description
A merchant asked Basim to sample a new drink he was selling.
Outcome
Having tried coffee for the first time, Basim suggested the addition of milk, much to the merchant's disdain.
Behind the scenes
The dialogue in this memory echoes the cutscene for the memory "Building Blocks" in the 2009 video game Assassin's Creed II. In it, the Venetian thieves' leader Antonio de Magianis offers the young Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore a cup of coffee. After taking a sip, Ezio pronounces his displeasure at its bitter taste and suggests adding milk to it, to Antonio's disappointment.
