Meeting Fillan
William Wallace was stationed at Scone Abbey when Fillan was brought in by Sören and his mercenary troop. He called out his comrade Deorsa, who was bothering Fillan, and proceeded to introduce himself to Fillan. He then apologized to him for all the mystery and secrecy he had been given about the reason for his presence in Scone, revealing that he had also been there. He revealed to the young boy that he had been recruited into the Brotherhood by Sören. He also informed him that with the other members of the Brotherhood were going to hold a meeting where everything would be explained to him. As Fillan asked him if they would ask him to join them, William informed him that Alastair Aitken had informed them about him and his twin, Ailéas, years ago and that according to the merchant, Fillan was clever. As they walked past the Stone of Destiny, William explained to Fillan what it was as well as what the different names Pierre de Fal and Lia Fàil were. He then left Fillan, specifying that this evening during the meeting he would learn more.

Sir William Wallace (c. 1270 – 1305) was a Highlander member of the Scottish Brotherhood of Assassins and a knight who served as one of the main leaders during the First War of Scottish Independence alongside Sir Andrew Murray. Although Wallace was captured and executed in 1305 by the English, his death inspired many to fight for Scottish independence.

Biography

Several years prior to joining the fight for Scottish independence, Wallace underwent his Assassin training under the watchful eyes of his mentor, Sören, who took him in and raised him after his father died.[1]

Legacy

In 1791, Fabien, a member of the Haitian Brotherhood, mentioned the impact Wallace's death had on Scots to his fellow Assassin Elsie. In Fabien's eyes, he believed that Dutty Boukman's execution would likewise inspire the Maroons to rebel against the French.[2]
