This article is about the 9th century explosive. You may be looking for the Blade of Shao Jun chapter.
A trap

A trap was a non-lethal bomb used by the Hidden Ones of Alamut during the Islamic Golden Age. Designed by the Banu Musa brothers, Abu Jafar, Ahmad and Hasan, the trap was a non-lethal proximity explosive meant to incapacitate enemies for long periods of time.[1]

The brothers also offered a number of upgrades to improve the weapon, such as increased duration of its effects or a remote means of detonation (through whistling). They also offered a version of the trap that replaced the non-lethal component with a fiery explosion.[1]
