Tobias Schmidt was the co-inventor of the guillotine, suggesting an angled blade be used for a speedier decapitation than a rounded one. Sometime during the French Revolution, Tobias crossed paths with the Assassin Arno Dorian, and tasked the man with finding stolen components to his invention.
