The Heart of Corruption was a virtual representation of one of Basim ibn Ishaq's genetic memories relived through the Animus.[1]

Description

Basim was taken by the robbers to a prison they controlled, keeping him alive for human experimentation of poisons.

Outcome

Basim escaped the prison and killed the bandits' leader 'Abis, but not without being poisoned himself. Dervis found Basim and nursed him back to health.
