The Special Cavalry Unit of the Qing Empire was a mounted force in service of the Qing dynasty of China during the 18th century.
History
In 1725, the Special Cavalry Unit was deployed to the Philippines alongside the Rattan Shield Company, in order to aid Fuma Sukuna and his Shimazu clan ninja in pursuing the members of the Zhang Wei Union. After the Company and the ninja were ambushed by the Union on an island near the Sultanate of Sulu, the Company's captain ordered the cavalry to chase after and eliminate the fleeing Union members before they reached their ship, the Fenghuang.[1]
The cavalry cornered the Union members atop a cliff near the island's shore, but before they could engage them, the British Assassin Edward Kenway volunteered to face the soldiers alone.[1] Thanks to the crescent amulet in his possession, Edward was able to single-handedly wipe out the large enemy force, massacring the soldiers and their horses.[2]
