A shield is used for protecting yourself against enemies with swords, knifes or enemies who are shooting arrows. It can also be used to strike your enemy in the face or abdomen. Various shields appear in Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Design

The shield is made out of Iron, and is almost always round.

History

Early use

The recordings of the first shield being used dates back to 700 BCE. Bayek used a shield around 40 BCE.

Modern times

There are still shields today mostly riot police use a shield to protect against rocks.
