Archippos was a member of the Veneta Blue racing team of charioteers in Kanopos, Egypt, during the reign of the pharaoh Ptolemy XIII.[1]
Biography
In 48 BCE, following the death of Icarus, the victorius leader of their rival team, Prasina Green, Archippos and Maleos attacked Icarus' brother, Nikias at Icarus' memorial. Their antics were seen and interrupted by their teammate, Claridas, as well as the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who was visiting the town.[1]
