Salt Key Bank was a fishing village located in the Dry Tortuga region of the West Indies. The village was nestled between a hillside and the sea, and provided amenities such as a harbormaster, general store, and a tavern.
The pirates Benjamin Hornigold, Edward Kenway and Edward Thatch all visited the village at least once in 1715, while Kenway would visit it again over the years to take on the assassination contracts from the pigeon coop.
