The Round City

The Round City of Baghdad was built by Abbasid Caliph al-Mansur,[1] serving as the Abbasid's seat of power in the region. During this period, the city was known as the City of Peace (Arabic: Madinat As-Salam) with the Caliphal Palace at the center.[2]
