They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Rothenburg.

Rothenburg is an undercover informant for the Assassin Brotherhood working from inside Abstergo Industries.

Biography

As a spy for the Assassins, Rothenburg is trusted by the Assassin leader Gavin Banks because they have never asked for anything in return for their information, and if they were ever to do so, he would terminate their operation.[1]

After an extended period of time without liaison, Rothenburg resumed contact in 2016 when they alerted the Griffin to the kidnapping of several American teenagers by the Templars.[2]

Identity

Because of the obvious dangers involved with their operation, their true identity is a secret. Owen Meyers suspected that Rothenburg was in fact Cole, an Abstergo field agent who had freed Sebastian Monroe from captivity at the Aerie and had helped Monroe, Owen, and Grace Collins sneak aboard transportation to Mongolia. However, when Owen brought this up with Cole, she expressed cluelessness. Monroe then explained that Cole had aided them in order to repay a past debt she owed him.[2]
