Ptah is an ancient Egyptian god of craftsmen, architects and alongside his spouse Sekhmet, the god of fertility. He was also regarded as the father of Imhotep.

In the 1st century BCE, Ptah was widely worshipped by Egyptians in the city of Memphis, who erected a temple complex in worship of him.
